Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring youth basketball leagues for ages 6-7 (coed), 8-9 (coed), 8-9 (girls), 10-11 (coed) and 10-12 (girls) from Nov. 12 through Feb. 18.
Teams practice twice a week on weeknights and play games on Saturdays. The fee is $47 and the deadline to register is Oct. 30.
ZUMBA: One-hour Zumba classes for ages 16 and older are offered at 6:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at Abingdon Elementary. The cost for the October session is $64 for the whole month (skip Oct. 31) or $9 per day for individual classes. The deadline to register is Sept. 28.
KARATE: Karate classes for ages 4 and up will be held on Mondays and Thursdays at T.C. Walker. Monday classes run from Oct. 10 to Dec. 12 and Thursday classes run from Oct. 13 to Dec. 15. The dee is $43-$47 and the deadline to register is Oct. 10 and 13.
