Youth art exhibit opens Friday at Bay School

A show featuring works created by participants in this summer’s youth art camps at the Bay School Community Arts Center, Mathews, will open Friday and continue through Aug. 24, with a reception to be held from 3:30-6 p.m. Friday.
Camps began in June and continue through August, with instruction in papier-mâché, clay, painting, mixed media and other methods.
Also displayed will be art created in the Bay School’s after-school art programs.
Market Days poster
In other news, P. Buckley Moss will be at the gallery from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday to sign prints of the poster she created for Mathews Market Days. A release said the poster, “Seasons of Mathews,” will not be available again until Market Days, to be held Sept. 6 and 7.
Artisan Market
Also, a number of vendors are expected to take part from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in an Artisan Market at the Bay School, which will include a children’s spot with a nautical project to create, and a photo...
