Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg will open its new ReStore in Yorktown on Saturday, May 6, with a grand opening community celebration from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The Yorktown ReStore is located at 4824 George Washington Memorial Highway, next door to Langley Federal Credit Union in Yorktown.
“Our team can’t wait to welcome the community to shop here,” said Gary McFadden, store manager. “We invite everyone to come in and check out everything we have. With donations coming in daily, we encourage folks to return often.”
The opening of the Yorktown ReStore marks the third local ReStore under the direction of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg. The local affiliate of the international nonprofit also operates ReStores in Newport News and Williamsburg.
All proceeds from Habitat ReStores support the mission of building homes in the local community.
