York River King’s Daughters recognized at state convention

The York River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons recognized several of its members during the state convention held Oct. 29 in Mathews.Dot Daniels, June James and Virginia Walker were recognized for having attained 25 years of service, while Sandy Pace was presented with the Founders Award.
Pace, former president of the York River Circle, has also served as the president of the Virginia Branch and membership chair of the International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons. The Founders Award is given to a person who emulates the qualities of the organization’s founder, a press release stated.
