York River Garden Club to hold talk on bees

Bees are some of the hardest working creatures on the planet.
The public is invited to learn more about these valuable pollinators at the Thursday, Jan. 9 meeting of the York River Garden Club, when local beekeeper Henry Thompson talks about his experiences as a beekeeper.
Refreshments and socializing begin at 10 a.m.; program starts at 10:30. The meeting will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1860 Hayes Road, Gloucester Point. Those attending are instructed to park in the back lot and enter through the rear of the building.
For more information about the club, contact Carolyn Dutton at 804-642-6581.
