Mary Shipko and Gary Smith of Gloucester Point, announce the engagement of their son, John Shipko, to Kaitlyn Yates, daughter of Michael and Lisa Yates of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Arkansas and is an on-line lecturer at University of Houston, Houston, Texas.
John is also a graduate of University of Arkansas and is a doctor of philosophy candidate in the School of Education at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg.
A wedding is planned for August 2024 in Cincinnati.
