Author Cindy L Freeman will lead a workshop “Writing as a Second Career” at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Williamsburg Library, 412 N. Boundary Street, Williamsburg. Chesapeake Bay Writers is sponsoring the workshop.
A published author of novels, blogs, award-winning essays, and two nonfiction books, Freeman also edits for High Tide Publications. In her novels, she tackles sensitive subjects, like homelessness, alcoholism, and abuse, in which strong women find the courage to overcome adversity, a release said.
Freeman’s books include “Unrevealed,” “The Dark Room,” “I Want to Go Home,” “After Rain” and “Farm Girl,” all available from Amazon or High Tide Publications.
