World Croquet Championship won by American

This past weekend, the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club in Hartfield hosted the World Croquet Federation’s 2024 Golf Croquet World Championship final.
The final match was best three-of-five games that took about five hours to complete. The final match was a slug fest between Australia’s Robert Fletcher and U.S.A.’s Blake Fields.
Fletcher had a better win/loss record over the entire event, but on finals day, the 18-year-old from Palm Springs, California, prevailed. The finals went to a full five games with some back and forth of momentum. Fields pulled it all together with a nearly flawless final game, winning 7-0.
