Wittman pleads for return of Northern Neck Ginger Ale

Rep. Rob Wittman (R-Montross) urged the Coca-Cola Company this week to resume production of the popular Northern Neck Ginger Ale. The request follows the discontinuation of the soft drink during the height of the pandemic.
“The efforts of thousands of Virginians to restart production of the iconic Northern Neck Ginger Ale shows how important the beverage is to the region and the Commonwealth of Virginia,” Wittman wrote in a letter Monday to company CEO James Quincey. “I strongly urge the Coca-Cola Company to make this cherished Northern Neck beverage available to Virginians.”
Wittman has consistently advocated for Northern Neck Bottling Co., the community-based business in the town of Montross that used to distribute Northern Neck Ginger Ale.
