The Gloucester High School girls’ and boys’ varsity volleyball teams both came out on top Monday night at home during the Class 4 Region A Quarterfinals. The Lady Dukes defeated the Churchland Truckers in three sets, 25-15, 25-9 and 25-7. The Dukes won against the Mighty Bookers of Booker T. Washington High School in three sets as well, 25-18, 25-17 and 25-18. Both Gloucester teams now advance to the regional semifinals. The Gloucester girls will play again tonight against Smithfield at Jamestown High School. The boys will be home again tonight, facing Denbigh.
