Dr. Wesley Wilson will speak at the Piankatank Community League, Harcum, on June 20 from 7-8:30 p.m.Wilson is a retired U.S. Army aviator, a College of William and Mary graduate and is the current president of the Woodville Rosenwald School Foundation.
In his lecture, Wilson will provide a history on the education of Black children in Gloucester County during and following the reconstruction period. He will also talk about the restoration of Woodville Rosenwald School.
Members will provide finger foods and beverages to share before the presentation. This event is free and open to the public.
