William Samuel "Pop" Daniel, III, 72, of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011, at his home.
He was born in Richmond, Va., and was a member of Grafton Christian Church in Yorktown. He was self-employed as a mobile home repairman. Pop was an avid sportsman and loved spending time at Belroi Market.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane Ormand Daniel, and his father, Carl Samuel Daniel.
He is survived by his children, Steven Daniel and his wife Melody, and David Daniel and his wife Jill, both of Gloucester; his mother, Mary Lucy Daniel of Emporia, Va.; his twin brother, Bobby Daniel of Powhatan, Va. and younger brother, Pete Daniel of Dinwiddie, Va.; his grandchildren, Derek, Tyler, Alec, Ellanah; his close friend, Billy Landes, and his faithful companion, Leroy.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-6:30 p.m. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Grafton Christian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
