William “Bill” Nathan Walden Jr., 87, of Urbanna, passed away on Aug. 3, 2015. His wife Joan was by his side.
Bill was born Sept. 10, 1927 in Petersburg, Va., to the late William Nathan and Agnes Locket Walden Sr. He graduated from Fork Union Military Academy and then served in the Army for over two years. Bill was a member of Zoar Baptist Church for many years and served as a deacon. Bill loved fishing and especially enjoyed getting to fish with his grandsons. He also loved to travel. He and Joan took an RV trip across the United States and also visited Europe.
Bill is survived by his wife of 17 years, Joan; daughter, Paula; stepchildren, Elaine and Mike Dove, Ron and Sandy Vaughan, Alan and Lisa Vaughan. and Donna and Terry Pedigo, and 11 grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin McGrath and his staff for their service the past five years.
An interment service will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George, Va.. at 12 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015. A memorial service will follow at Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville, Va. at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the building fund at Zoar Baptist Church, Deltaville.
