William Lawrence “Bill” Cooke Sr., 100, of Mathews, died on Sept. 27, 2024.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 5 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Cobbs Creek. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Forrest Brothers Funeral Home, Hudgins, is in charge of arrangements.
