William G. “Billy” Godsey Jr., 79, of New Point, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at his residence. Billy was a member of the American Legion for 41 years and the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department Station 5.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Godsey; a sister, Mary Ellen Edwards; a brother, Kenneth Godsey (Mary Lola), and many nieces and nephews.
No service is planned at this time.
