William “Dino” Dyke, 58, of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013.
He was born in Newport News, Va., to William and Betty Dyke. He grew up in Hampton, and had resided in Gloucester for the past 28 years.
Dino was an avid outdoors man and a member of Ino Hunt Club, where he enjoyed these activities near his second home, the family cabin.
He was always eager to teach and share his love for the outdoors with his grandchildren and friends or could be found tinkering with his tractor or preparing for the next hunting season, with his good friends, Robert West and Joe Major.
He is survived by his parents, William and Betty Dyke; girlfriend, Darlene Powell; brothers, Randy and Chris Dyke; daughters, Tammi (Bill) Carter, Amy (Brian) Lucy, Laura (Jeremy) Moore and Cara (Jason) Kromer; grandchildren, Caleb Lampart, Tyler and Kaylee Lucy, Seth and Ethan Moore, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Dino was a very loving and devoted son, brother, father, grandfather and friend to all.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the chapel of Andrews Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Rosewell Memorial Gardens.
