Wanted: To know the name of the gentleman who took in charge and brought to Mathews on Tuesday, Aug. 3, on steamer Ocracoke, a little girl who got off at Hicks Wharf. Information if left at Journal office will be appreciated.
We desire to special attention of the public to the fact that we will shortly get in a large stock of trunks and suit cases; these will especially suit the needs of the young people who are going off to school. Your patronage always appreciated. —Wyatt Wolffe

Open air movies will open Saturday night with a strong picture entitled “Fighting For Gold,” featuring Tom Mix, with a good “Mutt And Jeff” comedy.
Next week will feature a drama starring Theda Bara, Wm. Farnum, Tom Mix, Wm S. Hart and Marguerite Clark. If goods arrive in time, will give a display of fireworks Saturday night after movies. —Wicomic...
