The Woman’s Club of White Stone hosted a sell-out crowd on July 28 at its Fashion Show Luncheon and afternoon of game play at the clubhouse on Chesapeake Drive.
The theme was “Daisy Crazy” and the show featured colorful seasonal fashions from Cathy’s Unique Pursuits of Kilmarnock modeled by club members Karin Lamb, Nina Thompson and Vicki White. Lunch was followed by a dessert buffet.
“We are immensely grateful to our local merchants who generously supported our raffle baskets through their gift donations,” said event chair Amy Haines. “Also, a great big ‘thanks’ to our club members who helped make ‘Daisy Crazy’ a success; and most especially to the community who came and participated in our event.”
“Besides having loads of fun, we are very pleased that the proceeds of our ‘Daisy Crazy’ fundraiser exceeded expectations and will aid in support of our club’s scholarship fund for Lancaster County students attending Rappahannock Community College,” added club president Wanda Little.
