White Juniors one win away from Super Bowl

The Gloucester White Juniors are just one win away from the Peninsula Youth Football Association Super Bowl, following a playoff victory Saturday over the Grafton Tabb Tigers.

Meanwhile, the Red Mites and Red Midgets, the two other Gloucester teams in the youth football playoffs, saw their seasons come to an end last Wednesday night.

The White Juniors easily defeated the Tigers, 29-6. John-Nathan Walker led Gloucester’s offense with three touchdowns and 152 rushing yards.

Cody Brown scored the team’s other touchdown with a 20-yard reception. Devon Pullen connected on two PAT kicks and also picked up 85 rushing yards. Devon Honaker had one reception for 28 yards. David Miller gained 42 yards on the ground and completed three passes for 51 yards. Ethan Bryant made one extra point.
