A funeral for Welford Lewis Teagle, 88, of Gloucester, was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester. He died Friday, April 25, 2014.
He was born in Newport News, to the late Thaddous and Marggie Gwyn Teagle and was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Massie Teagle.
Mr. Teagle retired from the Naval Weapons Station in 1980 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church, Bellamy Hunt Club, past president of Bellamy Community League, and a former member of Gloucester Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Survivors include two sons, Mike and Mark Teagle.
The service was conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Waclo. Burial was in Bellamy United Methodist Church Cemetery.
