A funeral for Weldon Lewis Sadler, 90, of Norfolk, was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20 in Ocean View Baptist Church, Norfolk. He died on Sunday, June 17, 2012.

He was born in Hallieford, and was a veteran of World War II, having served honorably in Europe. After the war, he was employed as a mechanic at the Norfolk Naval Air Station, retiring after 35 years.

He was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church for 47 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Emma Sadler.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty Sadler; two daughters; a son, and four grandchildren.

Burial followed in H.C. Smithers Cemetery in Hudgins.
