Bryant Haynes and his wife, Sandy, who were the previous owners of WeKnz Patio Furniture located off Route 33 in Shacklefords, recently retired after 44 years in business.
The new owners of the business are Dave Bloom and his wife, Christina. The business was formerly known as Corner Cupboard Furniture Company, Inc. and had a name change about five years ago.
“This felt right,” said Christina. “We both worked in corporate America and it [becoming business owners] was different to get used to. We enjoy it and we look forward to coming to work and helping people find what they are looking for.”
Bryant and Sandy Hayes said that the business will not change much.
“We really wanted it [the business] to be able to continue and it will be an easy transition,” said Sandy.
Although the Haynes are enjoying the retirement life, they said they truly miss their customers with whom they created long lasting relationships over the years.
