Weighted Angels, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss, is kicking off 2025 with a stuffing party on Saturday, March 1, and is asking volunteers to help with its mission.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. Volunteers will work together to stuff and assemble Weighted Angels, which are stuffed animals gifted to grieving families as a tangible source of comfort.
No sewing experience is necessary. Volunteers age eight and up are welcome to participate. Out of respect for families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss, it is requested that babies and toddlers not attend.
