Invitations are out for the marriage of Mr. Chas. R. Smither and Miss Carrie White. The ceremony will take place at St. Paul’s M.E. Church on Wednesday morning, Oct. 23, at 10 o’clock. Both are natives of Mathews.

On Wednesday evening, Oct. 2, at 8 o’clock, Salem Church was the scene of a beautiful rainbow wedding. The contracting parties being Miss Louise Sadler and Mr. Bennett Haynes. The church was decorated with evergreens and wild flowers. After the ceremony a reception was given at the home of the bride. Louise is the attractive and popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Sadler of Milford Haven, while the groom is a very popular young man of Gloucester. They received many handsome presents.
