A funeral for Wayne Mitchell Jackson, 54, of Charlotte, N.C., was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, in Gleaning Baptist Church, Gloucester. He died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013.

He was a native of Gloucester County.

Survivors include five children, DeVonte Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Dwayne Jackson, Michelle Jackson and Nathan Jackson.

Burial was in New Mount Zion Cemetery, Gloucester.

Forrest Brothers Funeral Home, Hudgins, was in charge.
