Wayne Anderson Busick, 64, of Gloucester, died Nov. 5, 2011 at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News.

Wayne was a native of North Carolina, and a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He was associated with Bill Hudgins Automobile Group. He played football and was an avid "Tar Heels" fan. Wayne enjoyed fishing, going to flea markets, and garage sales.

His family was most important to him and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Wayne’s zest for life brought much joy to those who knew him and we will miss his ideas, companionship, laughter, and everlasting loyalty. You hold a special place in our hearts.

His parents, Mertis Carolyn and Henry Anderson Busick, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Busick; daughter, Kristen Renee Busick; son, Andrew Lane Busick; step-daughter, Kathryn M. Scott; step-son, Kenneth T. Richards; grandchild, Dylan Evans; step-grandchildren, Andrew Busick, Trever Richards, Taylor Richards, Joshua Burleson, Alexis Scott, Cheyenne Brock; brothers, Ronald Wesley Busick, Jerry Franklin Busick and wife Martha; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Ben Dyer were held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
