“Pour on the Paint!–Pouring Luminous Washes in Watercolor” is the topic of a class that is being offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 22 at the Bay School Community Arts Center on Main Street in Mathews.
Under the tutelage of artist Kathleen Noffsinger, students will learn to paint luminous background washes filled with lights that flow into a painting, said a press release. Using strong design shapes, Noffsinger will demonstrate how to take a pouring technique “to the next level.”
A special materials list will be used, in addition to each participant’s regular watercolor supplies. Each student will also need non-copyrighted photos with simple shapes and strong light and dark values. All levels are welcome.
The class is for ages 18 and older. The cost is $125.
To register or for more information, including a supply list, visit bayschoolarts.com or call 804-725-1278. Noffsinger’s work can be seen at kathleennoffsinger.com.
