The home and garden section of M&M Building Supply will be in better shape than ever, thanks to the addition of a greenhouse on the downtown Mathews property. Owner Kathryn Tatterson said the greenhouse, which came from the former Tatterson Greenhouses at Port Haywood, will help keep some plants protected “so they can be in a happy environment.” If necessary, new shipments of plants can be offloaded there, such as these hibiscus that were delivered Tuesday and were able to weather a Friday night frost. Tatterson said that plants that get damaged by frost or wind or rain can be moved in there to recover, and she said she’ll even be doing “a little growing” in the space.
