Sharon McGlohn, president of the Ware River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons, joined CHKD Stewardship and Donor Relations Director Kathryn Nemeth on Sept. 29 and 30 at a reception for major donors at the hospital’s new mental health hospital and outpatient center in Norfolk.
The Ware River Circle is on track to donate as a major giver in the amount of $100,000, McGlohn said. In two areas of the new mental health facility, the circle’s name is designated as a major donor.
A majority of the circle’s fundraising is through its annual Christmas Open House. This year, the organization will hold this event on Dec. 13 at the Gloucester Institute. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased online at ware-river-circle-of-the-kings-daughters-and-sons.ticketleap.com or by calling 804-815-1915.
