‘Ware is the Music’ series starts Sept. 26

Ware Episcopal Church and artistic director Charles Humphries have announced the slate of shows in the 2019-2020 edition of their “Ware is the Music” concert series. 
To kick off this year’s series, Humphries again secured the services of Red Priest, the quirky baroque group that proved popular in last year’s series for their “trademark energy, virtuosity, and madness,” the director explained. That performance will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26, beginning at 7 p.m.
The second fall concert, The Heimat Quartet, will display more traditional pieces by Mozart, Schumann, and Schulhoff in a daytime show on Nov. 10 beginning at 4 p.m.
Baroque Pyrotechnics will ring in the new year in a show on Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. The trio features trumpeter Josh Cohen, soprano Margot Rood, and Humphries own organ accompaniment.
March 5 will see The Thirteen in a performance titled “Mystic” showcasing their “sublime, reflective, and passionate” ...
