As part of an effort to broaden the scope of ministry through music, Gloucester’s Ware Episcopal Church will host a concert series that will feature nationally and internationally-known performers.
The idea for the “Ware Is the Music” series was the brainchild of Artistic Director Charles Humphries, a premiere British countertenor who performs professionally and also heads the music ministry at Ware Episcopal.
With the blessing of Ware’s Rector Grant Ambrose, Humphries secured five different acts who will bring an array of styles.
“Whilst we’ve had a break during the summer I’ve had a chance to bring in colleagues,” Humphries said, “just to give people an idea of what is out there.”
Many of the acts are composed of musicians Humphries has encountered through his 25-year career.
