Ware Academy’s softball and baseball teams had a successful season with softball achieving a perfect season, 8-0, and baseball having a record of 7-1. “Adding softball and baseball to our spring athletic offerings was a big undertaking back in 2020, and it is developing into a strong program,” said Ware Athletic Director Michael Cunningham. “There is a lot of interest in these sports in our area, so we’ve worked hard to create this opportunity for our student-athletes.” Head Softball Coach Robert Thomas said, “I didn’t think I would be coaching softball again after I retired from high school ball. It was my privilege to coach this group of girls. We had an undefeated and great season. Each week the girls improved their skills and became strong players. I’m proud of each and every player, especially their desire to play the game.
