Ware Academy celebrates first day

Ware Academy held its first day of the 2024-2025 academic year on Wednesday, boasting a record enrollment of 198 students.
Catesby Jones, Ware alumnus and local entrepreneur, addressed faculty, students and their families at convocation Wednesday morning, honoring the school’s mission and legacy as the school celebrates its 75th year of operation.
Also addressed at convocation was the school’s construction project, Ware Opportunities Arise, which officially broke ground in the spring. At the end of the project, Ware will have new classrooms, a technology lab, additional parking and turning lanes.
“We’re so excited to welcome our students back for another fantastic school year,” said Head of School Dawn Fleet. “Celebrating our 75th anniversary with the expansion of our campus and record-high enrollment is a testament to the support of our community. The future of Ware Academy is bright.”
