“Walk for a New Day,” a suicide prevention walk, was held on Saturday morning in Gloucester Court House, beginning at Gloucester Library. The walk was sponsored by the Prevention, Health and Wellness Division of the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board, in partnership with Alliance. Daniel Knott, founder of Knott Alone-Hold Fast, was the program’s guest speaker, as he spoke about overcoming his own struggles and going on to found the program that helps other veterans going through difficult times. Here, the group marches behind a banner proclaiming “Prevent Suicide … Ask the Question!”
