The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors is looking for five volunteers—one from each of the county’s magisterial districts—to take part in a comprehensive plan steering committee.
The comprehensive plan acts as a general, long-range guide concerning the overall growth and development of the county for local decision-makers. This committee will assist the planning commission in its review of the current comp plan and its development of a plan of action for updates to the document for presentation to the board of supervisors.
The planning commission will be reviewing the plan with the steering committee members at its monthly meetings on the first Thursday of the month and most likely a second meeting, on the third Thursday of the month. Depending upon the other items on the commission’s agenda, committee members may not need to attend all planning commission meetings, but will need to be present for all discussions of the comp plan update.
