The stars and cars of the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series will invade Virginia Motor Speedway this Saturday, June 3, for the $5,000-to-win Commonwealth Clash at the Middlesex County track.
This will be the first visit for the Bandits and many of the Mid-Atlantic’s top Limited Late Model drivers are expected to be on hand.
“We’ve heard so many great things about the Steel Block Bandits series and the series has been one of our most requested events to add to our schedule,” said track owner and president Bill Sawyer. “We are expecting a great car count.”
The day’s competition also includes the Budweiser Modified, Truckin’ Thunder Sportsman, and Collision One Limited Stocks in Dirt Series Championship weekly racing action.
Competitor gates will open at 2 p.m., with spectator gates opening at 5. On-track activities begin at 6 with hot laps.
Adult tickets are $20; seniors (60+)/military $15; students 13-17 years old $10; and children 12 and under free.
