VMS holds first of six ‘Twins’ racing nights

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the first of six "Twins" nights scheduled for the 2013 season at the Middlesex County track on Saturday.

The intense action produced 10 winners. Picking up wins were Brett Adkins of Gloucester, and Junior Carter of Mechanicsville, in Truckin’ Thunder Sportsman; Troy Williams of South Mills and Justin Williams of Shipman, in the Victory Lap Late Models; Mike Reynolds of Clements, Md., and Chris Arnold of Chester, in the Budweiser Modifieds and Brandon Sandridge of Mechanicsville and Brian Maxey of King George in the Collision One Limited Stock Cars.

Track records were recorded in the Victory Lap Late Models with Williams turning a lap at 18.093 seconds and Arnold breaking his own track record for the second week in a row with a lap of 19.101 seconds.
