Members of the Mathews County Woman’s Club heard from Mathews County Visitor and Information Center Executive Director Emily Allen on Oct. 10 about all of the changes that will be made in coming months at the Sibley’s Store site. The fundraising goal of $625,000 has already been over 90 percent met. The ongoing work will take between five and 10 months, she said, and MCVIC will be closed during that time. They are looking for a temporary spot to serve as a visitor center in the meantime, she added.
