COVID-19 cases continued to rise in Gloucester over the past week, with 211 cases, or an additional five during the seven-day period, reported on Wednesday morning. This was a lower rate of increase than last week’s 17 new cases, and there were no new hospitalizations or deaths reported for the county, continuing a trend that has lasted for weeks.
Mathews continued to have 23 cases, two hospitalizations, and no deaths, while Middlesex saw an additional seven cases for a total of 62 as of Wednesday morning, while reporting no additions to its six hospitalizations and one death.
The Three Rivers Health District overall had registered 1,384 total cases as of Wednesday morning, or 86 new cases during the past week, along with one new hospitalization, for a total of 95, and no deaths added to the 20 reported last week.
