Virginia Living Museum to open Wild Care Center Sunday

Virginia Living Museum, Newport News, is holding a grand opening celebration for its new Wild Care Center on Sunday. The facility features a transparent veterinary hospital and nutrition center, providing guests access to observe veterinary medicine and nutrition for over 200 native species.
Opening Monday as part of the museum’s 58th birthday, the center represents a significant advancement in public wildlife education, a release said. It will offer live demonstrations of veterinary procedures, interactive educational programs, behind-the-scenes views of nutrition and diet preparation and daily opportunities to interact with museum experts.
Monday’s grand opening will feature a full day of activities, demonstrations, discussions and encounters for visitors.
