Virginia Dunlevy Kelley, age 80, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2024. A native of Topping, Va., Virginia was a longtime member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. She and her husband of 52 years, the Rev. David C. “Mike” Kelley, served in ministry for many years at Westville Baptist Church in Mathews and they also served at New Hope Baptist Church in King and Queen County. Virginia loved her family, her church families, and her many Chihuahuas. She worked for many years at the Pilot House Restaurant in Topping, as well as the Mizpah Nursing Home in Locust Hill and the Saluda Nursing Home in Saluda.
In addition to her beloved husband “Mike,” Virginia was predeceased by parents, Marvin and Lillian Dunlevy; sisters, Elizabeth Hurley, Anna Lee Thomas, and Marie Bryant; brothers, Charles Dunlevy, Johnny Dunlevy, and Hugh Dunlevy. She is survived by her son, David R. Kelley; sisters, Jean Dutton and Patricia Jackson, and many nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Virginia’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024 in Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Topping.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 10 o’clock. The family will have a reception following the service at the Pilot House Restaurant in Topping.
