Virginia Branch of King’s Daughters meets at Bethany UMC

The Virginia Branch of the International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons held its 125th convention Saturday at Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point. Faye Hutchinson, Virginia Branch president, presided.
Sandy Pace, International President, and Frances Sellew of the Strategic Planning Committee, were special speakers.
Awards were presented by Nancy Layng, Virginia Branch vice president, to local circles. Chesapeake Bay and York River circles received the Standard of Excellence award and Christine Dragoo and Sara Delo of the Ware River Circle received recognition for their 40 years of membership. Unsung Hero awards were presented to Marcia Fry and Norma Turner of the Chesapeake Bay Circle and Louise Klebitz of York River Circle. Nan Pointer of the York River Circle received the prestigious Life Time Achievement Award for her years of outstanding service to the Order.
