Last week’s snowstorm, that hit the area on Wednesday evening, delayed plans for this year’s VHSL state wrestling championship tournament. The tournament, which was originally planned for last weekend, has been moved to this Saturday, March 1.
Mathews High School wrestlers will compete in the Class 1/2 VHSL meet, which will be held at Virginia High School in Bristol, while Gloucester High School wrestlers will take part in the Class 5 tournament at Cox High School in Virginia Beach.
