Services will be held throughout the area on Monday to honor America’s armed servicemen and women during Veterans Day ceremonies.
At 1 p.m., Detachment 1317 of the Marine Corps League will hold its event at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial in front of the new courthouse.
Starting at 6 o’clock that evening, American Legion Post 83 and its Auxiliary will host their annual dinner and membership awards program at the post headquarters on Hookemfair Road in Hudgins.
The guest speaker for that evening will be Command Master Chief Stephen Dykema of the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Yorktown.
Dinner will be served at 6:30 and will be prepared and served by Shirley Williams Catering. Following the meal, Dykema will speak and then there will be the presentation of awards. Anna Draper will provide patriotic music.
