Mathews Post 83 of the American Legion held its annual Veterans Day Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the post headquarters in Hudgins on Saturday, Nov. 11. Avery P. Martin received a Certificate of Appreciation for her outstanding service and assistance during the post’s “Sunday World Famous Breakfasts” for the past two years. She is the granddaughter of Al and Bonnie Smith of Dutton. She is shown at right being recognized by Post 83 Commander Tim Roscher.
