Vernon (Jim-Jim) Hudgins, Jr., age 96, of New Point, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013.

 

He was a retired waterman and avid rabbit hunter.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon C. Hudgins Sr. and Martha Gertrude Hudgins; brothers, William L., Elton M. and Dick Hudgins; sisters, June and Christine Hudgins, Hilda Snow, Catherine Lewis and Frances McPherson.

 

He is survived by a sister, Lillian M. Hudgins of Moon, Va., and many special nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at 6 p.m. in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 o’clock in the funeral home chapel. Private burial will follow on Friday in Friendship Cemetery, Susan.
