VDOT work underway on county roads

The Virginia Department of Transportation is working on secondary roads in Gloucester and Mathews counties this week.
One-way traffic is planned through Friday on Timberneck Road (Route 1320) in Gloucester, while pavement marking is underway.
Resurfacing is scheduled this week through Friday in Mathews on Cobbs Creek Lane (Route 628); Roane Point Drive (Route 630); Chapel Lane (Route 631), and Brooks Lane (Route 719).
In addition, work continues on the bridge over Milford Haven between Cricket Hill and Gwynn’s Island, with alternating traffic controlled by signals. VDOT said the work is scheduled to end this fall.
Marine traffic openings are currently scheduled up to six times a day, 2 a.m., 5 a.m., 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 7 p.m., and 10 p.m.
