The public will get a look at proposed changes to the Woods Cross Roads intersection at Route 17 in northern Gloucester during a public meeting from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Petsworth Elementary School.
The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold the meeting in an open house format where people can stop by to review information and ask questions of VDOT staff. No formal presentation will be made.
A Restricted Crossing U-Turn, or RCUT, intersection is being proposed for this intersection. This is a design where all side street movement is restricted to only right turns. Those wishing to turn left when merging onto Route 17 will instead turn right and then make a U-turn at a designated location.
