VDOT survey looks at Route 17 south of C.H.

The public is invited to share its feedback on existing travel conditions on Route 17 between Short Lane and Featherbed Lane as part of a Virginia Department of Transportation study.
This STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study will assess potential safety and operational improvements along that stretch of road in Gloucester. The purpose is to identify safety, congestion and access management needs within the study area, a VDOT release stated.
Project partners include Gloucester County, the Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission, and the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization.
Comments received at this stage will help determine which locations along Route 17 in the study area should be reviewed for potential improvements.
The online survey can be found at https://publicinput.com/route17study and will be open to accept comments through April 7.
