Glenn DuBois, chancellor of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS), will speak at Rappahannock Community College’s 39th commencement, which is scheduled for May 13 at 6:30 p.m. on the school’s Warsaw campus. Since taking the reins in 2001, Dubois has led the 23-college system through a period of unprecedented enrollment increases and unprecedented cuts in state operating funds, according to RCC spokesperson Tom Martin.
Under DuBois, the VCCS created and completed its first strategic plan, "Dateline 2009." Martin said the VCCS has also signed groundbreaking guaranteed-transfer agreements with 30 public and private universities, and has become Virginia’s leading provider of workforce development services under DuBois’s tenure.
